My Hair is Saved!

Hello again! :)
A couple of weeks ago I wrote a blog post about re-ombring my hair. Ever since then the bleached ends have been pretty much wrecked! I still love the colour, but it was like frizz city and my hair would knot up SO easily. In the past i've used several different types of deep conditioner but none have been as good for my hair as the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor Conditioner.

After using this just once my hair was pretty much back to normal. In fact, it's better than normal. It's now so soft and shiny and i'm pretty sure that it has made the blonde look more vibrant. So many people have asked me whether I have re-bleached my hair in the past few days!
So, what I guess i'm trying to say is, THIS IS AMAZING! I would definietly recommend it to anyone having damaged hair troubles...
Sorry it's a bit of a short one today! Hope you're all well :)

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick Collection.

Hello!

Today i'm going to talk about a lipstick which I actaully bought a couple of weeks ago. I've waited until now to talk about it because it needed a bit of road-testing and it took me a while to make up my mind about how I felt about it. You've probably gathered from the title that i'm talking about the new Kate Moss lipstick collection from Rimmel.

The collection itself consists of seven shades ranging from a daytime nude to a bright coral, red and pink, retailing at £5.49 each. Seeing as I am addicted to nude lipsticks and not being brave enough to go for anything brighter or more vampy, I bought number 3.

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick No. 3

Good Points: As you can see from the swatch, the lipstick is quite a safe colour, but is very pigmented meaning it leaves you with quite an insense colour. It's quite a creamy formula so it goes on nicely and feels quite smooth. I think one oft he best things about these lipsticks is the smell! They smell absolutely gorgeous, kind of floral without being too overpowering.

Bad Points: Even though the formula is creamy I find that after a while it can dry out my lips quite a lot. This might just be me, but I find if I put on some chapstick or something beforehand it pretty much fixes this problem. Also, i've found that the wear isn't that great and I have to keep reapplying all day.

Overall I really really like this lipstick, especially for the price, and i'm thinking about investing in some more daring colours!

Thank you for reading :) hope you're well

Re-Ombred Hair.

Hello again!
I'm feeling a bit bad seeing as i havn't posted in a while.. but i have an excuse! I've been super busy AND it was my eighteenth birthday last week!

In an amongst all of the birthday celebrations I have managed to find time to re-ombre my hair. I first ombred it a couple of months or so ago because i was bored of my natural hair colour but didn't completely want to change it. Anyway, I felt it was time for a touch up. I went a bit overboard and left the bleach on for a bit longer than necessary, haha! Luckily it didn't come out too badly :)

Bit of a short post today! Thanks for reading :)

Procrastination.

Hiya,
I think one of the things I am best at in life is the art of procrastination. Whenever there is something important to do I suddenly find that I have a million and one other things that are just that little bit more urgent to do instead. Things, for example, like painting my nails, making a cup of tea, or playing solitaire on my computer... Today, however, instead of doing some work, I rediscovered the magical world of weheartit.com! I popped in some words like 'fashion,' 'make up,' 'paris' and 'vintage' and chose some of my favourites, which I thought I would post on here :) I hope you like them!

(I wasn't really sure how to credit the pictures... I linked them all to weheartit.com, is that enough??)

Top 5 Essentials.

Hello hello!
Sorry, it's been almost a week since I last wrote! I thought today I would write about the result of a little 'discussion' I had with a friend of mine, Belle. Being so close, we pretty much see eye to eye on most things, but when it comes to make up we have very different ideas about what we consider to be essential and our discussion quickly spiralled into an argument about the benefits of eyelash serum... Of course, everyone has different favourites and tastes so Belle, being the wise old owl she is, suggested that I do a comparison of our 'Top 5' lists as a blog post rather than just mine or just hers... So, Voila!

Belle's Top 5:
  1. Diorshow Extase Instant Oversize Mascara
  2. Diorshow Maximiser Lash Plumping Serum
  3. Tigi BedHead Big Fat Fun Eye Liner Pencil
  4. Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation (in Fawn)
  5. Barry M Dazzle Dust (in Gold, Bronze and Black)

And mine:
  1.  No7 Exceptional Definition Mascara
  2. GOSH Matt Duo Eye Shadow (in Melting Pale for the day and Dark'N Dusty for night)
  3. Rimmel Match Perfection Cream Gel Foundation (in True Ivory)
  4. Maybelline Dream Touch Blush (in Peach)
  5. GOSH Velvet Touch Lipstick (in Darling)

So there you have it! Thanks so much for reading :)

Chase Fashion Show.

Hello again :) 'Fraid today's is going to be a massively picture-heavy post!
Last night I was lucky enough to go to a fashion show in aid of a charity called Shooting Star Chase. Shooting Star Chase is a children's hospice service which supports families with children who are not expected to reach their 19th birthday. Definitely a worthy cause which you can read more about here

The clothes for the show were donated from places like Topshop, French Connection, ASOS and Joules, as well as from local independent stores, and the make up for the models was mainly donated from Benefit and Boots.

The show started with a short film about the Shooting Star Chase which pretty much had the whole audience tearing up (or maybe it was just me.. I get very emotional!) and emptying their purses for the charity!

During the first half the outfits were mainly focused towards daywear, with a few exceptions, and the theme was very vintagey and equestrian. The second half had more of a glam-rock vibe and was more veered towards evening wear. The hair and make up throughout was amazing and the models all looked gorgeous!

Unfortuately, I was only able to bring my rubbish camera which decided to throw a tantrum and break on me half way through (thankfully I got it working again), so the photos aren't the best quality.. but i've done my best with what I managed to get so I hope you like them anyway!

The lovely (if a bit blurry) organisers...

Thanks for reading! Sorry about the masses of photos haha!
